Burnout is a real risk for heart-centered women in business. I’ve learnt from experience that it’s easy to get caught up in your daily demands and you forget about taking care of yourself. And this is when burnout can happen.
Being a heart-centered woman in business, means that you really love your work and what you do. Your pour your heart and soul into every aspect of your business and thrive on making a positive impact.
I know that being passionate about your work and purposeful in the way you operate, is your driving force; and combined with your excellent entrepreneurial skills and big dreams you have for your business and your life, gives you a winning formula.
The thing with being passion and purpose driven is that most of the time you are “all in”, which is great, but if not managed well, you could be left hanging on the borderline of burnout.
For heart-centered women in business burnout often comes in the form of passion or compassion fatigue, or a combination of the two.
Unfortunately, you usually only realise it when it is happening, leaving you feeling completely drained and depleted, impacting your creativity, productivity, your mindset, your enthusiasm in general, and the freedom that you are trying to create.
A few years back, I found myself completely burnt out, struggling with both passion and compassion fatigue simultaneously. So I want to share some of the signs to look out for, so that you can avoid burnout before it happens.
7 Signs to Recognise Burnout
Sign 1
You feel off in some way and just not sure why but try to ignore this and keep going.
Sign 2
You are unable to maintain healthy boundaries, so end up overcommitting and overextending yourself.
Sign 3
You feel unworthy and are doubting your work; and that you, and what you offer is good enough.
Sign 4
You are constantly drained physically, mentally, or emotionally and feel like you just can’t keep up.
Sign 5
You feel uninspired to create or produce and feel like you have lost your passion for your work.
Sign 6
You don’t want to show up and avoiding putting yourself out there.
Sign 7
You struggle to balance everything that you need to do, compromising your well-being in the process.
The great news is, there is a solution to burnout that lasts.
Understanding and awareness is your first step. If any of these signs jumped out at you, it’s important for you to acknowledge them, so that you can take the right action steps to shift into Alignment.
Take a few minutes to re-read the 7 signs, making a note of which ones resonated with you, then take some time to asses what’s going on and how you can get back on track.
Aligning Yourself is your key to a healthier, happier, and more balanced life, one without burnout or compromising your own well-being.
When you are in alignment and utilising your full potential in the right way and form for you, everything will flow and fall into place.
You will feel great as you have the energy needed to create and produce amazing content, launch value packed services and products; and still have the capacity to work with your clients at your best, with everything that makes you unique and special and able to do what you do so well.
And while you’re doing all of this, you still have the time, energy and space for you, your family, and friends, and the freedom you desire to do the things that make your heart and soul happy.
